Set Up the Robot ================== Light it up! ------------- Follow instructions in the provided Quick Start Guide (printed or electronic) to complete hardware setup and boot up the robot. .. caution:: Before proceeding, make sure the robot is securely mounted onto a steady base and won't topple over when moving at a high speed with sudden stops. Connect the UI tablet ---------------------- Follow instructions in the Quick Start Guide to connect the UI tablet (teach pendant) to the robot. Make sure you can use the Flexiv Elements software pre-installed in the UI tablet to enable (servo on) the robot and see the sensor data. .. note:: When using RDK, Flexiv Elements is still needed to take care of some auxiliary operations. Operations that are done in Flexiv Elements when using RDK: 1. Enable/disable Remote mode for RDK. 2. Enable free drive, see :doc:`free_drive`. 3. Confirm the switch from Manual to Auto or Auto (Remote) mode, see :ref:`enter_remote_mode`.
